School Health Program: Nutrition Education
On 24 January 2025, Young Leaders Collaboration for Global Health-Nepal (YLCGH-Nepal) conducted a session on nutrition at Shree Bhanodaya Basic School, Mahalaxmi, Lalitpur, as part of its ongoing School Health Program.
The session aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of the importance of proper nutrition and its role in supporting healthy growth, development, learning, and overall well-being. Through age-appropriate health education, students were encouraged to understand the value of balanced meals and make healthier food choices in their everyday lives.
The initiative emphasized that healthy habits developed during childhood can contribute to healthier futures. By equipping young learners with practical knowledge about nutrition, YLCGH-Nepal continues to promote health literacy and preventive health practices at the school and community level.
The session reinforced a simple message: healthier futures begin with healthier choices, one plate at a time.
